Check out Sara's new blog, Extra Smiles... Extra Giggles... Extra Love... Here you're going to have the fun of meeting Lilly and her little brother Max, who has just about the prettiest blue eyes I have ever seen. (Click on pictures from her 7/27 post to enlarge them and you'll see what I mean.) Give Sara a warm welcome to the blog-o-sphere so she'll be encouraged to keep those cute pictures coming.
Just reading the section on the sidebar. The about me section. I too wonder what have others done to protect their kiddo's future. We wanted to appoint our eldest daughter as Carly's guardian, but we were told we can not do that. That if something happens to my husband and myself, then our eldest daughter should to directly to the court and file papers to take over guardianship. I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen. Or, if I was told this (by court workers)by someone who didn't know squat.

I had a baby with Down syndrome. After reading a couple new parent books, which were depressing, I wondered, "Why don't they just tell me what I need to know? Like, what are the best toys for a newborn with Down syndrome? or What changes should I make to my will to protect my daughter's future?" Answering those questions, and many more, inspired this blog. I hope it helps you as you go about raising your beautiful baby.
I do not receive any compensation for having company logos on this blog. They appear only when a company has agreed to provide discounts to families with children with Down syndrome.
